Terms of use

What you can expect from us, and what we ask of you.

Infinight is in beta and this page is a plain-language draft that our lawyers have not signed off yet. It describes what the app actually does today. If something here matters to a decision you are making, write to us and ask.

The service

Infinight helps you make illustrated storybooks. It is currently in beta, offered free of charge, and parts of it are unfinished. We may change or withdraw features, and we will tell you before doing anything that affects books you have already made.

Your account

Accounts are for adults. You are responsible for who you let into your family workspace. Everyone you invite can read the whole library.

What you make

The books you create are yours. We claim no ownership of your stories, your characters or your photographs, and we do not use them to train models. We need permission to store and display them so the app can show them back to you, and nothing more than that.

What you upload

Only upload photographs you are entitled to upload, and only record a voice with the agreement of the person it belongs to. Do not use the app to make material that sexualises, endangers or demeans a child, or that infringes somebody else's rights. We will close accounts that do.

Publishing

If you publish a story publicly you are choosing to make it readable by anyone and usable by other families under the licence shown at the time. You can withdraw it at any point, though copies already downloaded are out of everybody's reach, including ours.

What we do not promise

Generated stories and pictures are unpredictable by nature. We check them, you check them, and something still comes out wrong sometimes. The app is provided as it is, without a warranty that it will suit a particular purpose, and our liability is limited to what the law allows us to limit it to.
