Privacy policy
What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to make us stop.
Who is responsible
Kluk Insights, established in the Netherlands, is the controller for the personal data described here. Contact details are on the contact page and in the imprint.
What we collect
Your email address, so you can sign in and we can send you the things you asked for. The contents of your library: the children, characters and places you created, the stories and pictures made from them, and your settings. Photographs you upload for a memory book. Voice recordings, if you choose to make one. A count of which features are used, tied to your account, with no free-text field that could carry a name or a story.
What we do not collect
No passwords, because there are none. No advertising or cross-site identifiers. No third-party analytics. No cookies on this website. Nothing about a child beyond the profile you typed in yourself.
Children
Children have no accounts and cannot create one. Data about a child exists because a parent entered it, and the parent controls it. We do not knowingly let anyone under eighteen sign in, and we do not build profiles of children for any purpose.
How long we keep things
Your library stays until you delete it or your family. Memory book photographs are deleted once the book is finished, unless you asked us to keep them. Usage counts are kept for a bounded period and then removed automatically. Deleting your family removes the database rows, the stored files, and any cloned voice from the provider that holds it.
Who else processes it
The companies that host the app, the database, the file storage and the email, all within the European Union. The model providers that write the stories, draw the pictures and produce the narration, which are outside the EU: they receive the text and images needed to do that specific job and do not receive your account. We do not sell anything about you to anybody.
Your rights
You can get a copy of everything, correct it, or have it deleted. Two of those are buttons in Settings that work immediately. For anything else, write to us. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
